The Balearic island of Ibiza is characterized by its unique atmosphere combining entertainment with the respect of tradition. You might chose to party in the island's most glamorous clubs until sunrise or, leaving the crowds and moving a few kilometres out of the centre, enjoy a very traditional Spanish ambience. The blue sky and sea, the white sandy beaches, the lush gardens and the surrounding countryside are in harmony with the warm golden sun shining all year round. The Necropolis del Puig des Molins is also another great site to visit: these ancient burial grounds date back to the 7th century BC, during Phoenician times.
Although new fancy places have been opening every year, the best place remains the famed Café del Mar: a lounge bar built in the 1980s and designed by the renowned Catalan architect Lluis Géell.
